Alex Slade is 8 years old from Mooresville, NC. He was born with a need for speed, which has developed into a passion for racing. This comes as no surprise with the generations of racing in his family. Both of his parents raced late models and his grandpas, Tim Steele and Brian Slade, left behind an impressive legacy—Tim was a multi-time ARCA champion and Brian was a highly respected racing engine builder.
Alex's journey on the track began at 5 years old, racing quarter midgets. He achieved considerable success at local, regional and national events. In 2023, he transitioned to the world of dirt racing, where he discovered a genuine passion and continued his success. He ran two different style karts for the 2023 season - a flat kart with the WKA series and an outlaw kart, where he competed at various tracks across the Southeast. In his first year of dirt racing, he secured the WKA National Championship, celebrated 16 A-Main wins and had over 30 podium finishes.
Alex dreams of becoming a dirt sprint car or dirt late model driver.
